We are looking for our new Indirects Controller

About the role

This role offers a variety of work tasks, which makes it interesting and challenging for the right candidate. The Indirects Controller is responsible for managing and controlling the indirects costs for Sweden MU. This includes supporting the stakeholders with appropriate analysis and information to allow them to make decisions which create and maximise value for the entity. A secondary element of the role relates to performing key control and reporting activities around Stock and COGS (“Total Price Variance”) at Month End. Your future work tasks and responsibilities

The Sweden Indirects budgets compromise the overhead budgets at Sweden Malmo for key functions including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and General Management. The total annual budget is c160mSEK.

 

The specific responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning: Provide input into 3 yr Indirects ambition

Annual Planning: Define and improve process for Indirects budget construction; build bottom-up budgets with input from budget holders and central assumptions; maintain updates throughout process, provide reporting and analysis

Monthly Forecasting: Provide monthly updates to Indirects outlook for current year, including maintaining a ledger of Risks and Opportunities. Input from budget holders and other business stakeholders

Monthly Actuals: Complete month end close procedures and provide clear, insightful reporting to budget holders to empower them to control budgets

Value Creation: Work with budget holders to identify opportunities for value creation

Bonus: Prepare accrual and provide analysis of Group Bonus scheme accrual

Sox: Responsible for end-to-end completion of all Sox controls associated with Indirects

Ad-hoc analysis and projects: Eg Indirects benchmarking analysis,  support to ZBB reporting, ad-hoc savings/costing analysis

 

Within COGS/Sox:

Total Price Variance Reporting: Monthly price variance reporting comparing all articles in stock at a fixed standard value and calculated/actual value for the current period. Variances due to price changes and fluctuations in exchange rate

Standard Prices: Responsible for updating standard prices and intercompany COGS

 

Knowledge and skills:

Essential:

  • Strong basic Finance/Accounting knowledge of Stock/COGS and Indirects accounting
  • Very strong Excel skills. Significant experience in handling large volumes of data to building logical, well-structured and automated excel models to deliver reporting/forecasting/controls
  • Outlook experiences
  • English: Strong written and verbal

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of SAP Standard costing, FI, CO/COPA modules

Comfortable communicating clearly to and working with all levels of organisation: A clear and crisp communicator: make the complex simple for non-finance. Comfortable to interrogate and dissect large volumes of data to ensure data is accurate and aligned to expectations

 

Qualifications and previous experience:

Essential:

  • Graduate (degree): Bachelor’s in business and Admin and/or accountancy qualification

Desirable:

  • Previous relevant work experience which has provided exposure to above skills and competencies

 

Employment

Permanent 100%. With 6 months of initial probationary employment with start in feb 2020
