About the role
As Category Manager for Finland, you will turn data into insights that guide strategic and commercial decisions for Findus and our retail customers. You will analyze market, consumer and sales data, identify growth opportunities and translate your findings into clear recommendations.
You will work closely with Key Account Managers, Finance, Marketing and Nordic Category teams as well as support collaboration directly with major Finnish retailers. Your work will span assortment planning, pricing and promotion strategy and recommendations as well as new product launches, and you will play a leading part in localizing our category vision for Finland.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of Finnish category insights and help drive growth by:
Maintaining monthly reporting and providing clear sales, market and consumer insights
Leading category development work for our retail business, including a new local category vision and identifying key growth opportunities and how we unlock these
Supporting external sells with data‑driven trade stories and recommendations
Contributing to assortment planning and promotion evaluations
Ensuring accurate product information and carrying out post‑launch reviews
Collaborating with Nordic colleagues to share learnings and harmonize ways of working
This is a role for someone who enjoys combining data, commercial thinking and strong collaboration to drive growth.
Who you are
You are analytical, structured and proactive. You enjoy working with data and are comfortable turning insights into simple, actionable guidance for both internal teams and know how to turn this into engaging recommendations for our retail partners. You communicate clearly, build trust easily and thrive in cross‑functional collaboration.
What you bring
Essential:
Degree in business, analytics, statistics or similar
Experience in data analytics within FMCG or retail
Strong skills in Excel and analytics tools (Power BI, Analyse2)
At least 4 years of work experience from a similar position as well as a sales role, e.g. as key account manager in FMCG
Fluency in Finnish and English verbally and in writing
Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights
A collaborative and proactive working approach
Nice to have:
Experience working directly with Finnish retail customers
Understanding of Finnish consumer and shopper behavior
Ability to create tools or dashboards in Excel/Power BI
