About the job
The Assistant RDQ Manager role is a significant role in the organization, which requires experience in product development as well as technical and quality management skills to deliver the agreed projects and the legal compliance of the respective product portfolio.
The Assistant RDQ Manager is typically based at the Market Unit (MU) or at a site in the region. The purpose of this regional function is to take responsibility for projects and activities in the RDQ (Research, Development & Quality) programme, Quality & R&D, associated development and marketing of products.
You will in the role manage projects in the local pipeline of innovation, renovation and fuel for growth. To develop the pipeline you will partner up with colleagues from the market in project teams, with support from the RDQ Manager or the Regional RDQ Head. You will also take responsibility for risk, quality and legality for products assigned in the portfolio.
Although the job requires a strong understanding of the local culture, markets, media and local language, willingness to learn these will be taken into account.
The role also requires:
- Awareness of consumer habits, practices, usage, needs & preference drivers within the allocated product area.
- Good knowledge of key ingredients, supply chains & manufacturing processes through conducting trials & regular contact with suppliers, procurement & the Supply Unit.
- Manage projects and activities in the local pipeline of innovation & renovation.
- Take responsibility for risk, quality and legality for products assigned in the portfolio including writing and approving product artwork and labels including product related claims.
- First point of contact for assigned factory and overall implementation responsibility including changes to recipes, ingredient and process issues and audit support.
- Intake checks for co-packed products on a risk based schedule.
- Monitor consumer complaints and corrective action planning for products assigned in the portfolio.
- Product development, create recipes and implement process changes to current products in collaboration with Marketing and Packaging Experts.
- Ensures product & ingredient specifications are created and written to be fully compliant & audit ready.
Who are you?

To be able to succeed in this role it’s beneficial to have a track record of successful product development within food or a role in food quality management. We also see that you are/have:
- Must be qualified to at least a degree level in a Technical subject, e.g. Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Physics or Nutritional sciences
- Initial experience (1+ years) within the Food & Drink industry in a Technical/Quality/Product Development role
- Proficient in Swedish and English language
- Hold a drivers licence
- Preferable experience in SAP and Interspect
