About the job
The Assistant RDQ Manager role is a significant one in the organization. Its purpose is to take responsibility in projects and activities in the RDQ (Research, Development & Quality) department, and associated development. It requires a passion for product development as well as technical and quality assessment skills to deliver legally compliant products.
You will support in the management of projects in the local pipeline of innovation, renovation and fuel for growth. To develop the pipeline you will partner with colleagues locally and abroad, having the support of your RDQ Manager or the Regional RDQ Head.
Although the job requires a strong understanding of the local culture, markets, food trends and local language, willingness to learn these will be taken into account.
The role also requires:
- Awareness of consumer habits, practices, usage, needs & preference drivers within the allocated product area.
- An understanding of key ingredients, supply chains & manufacturing processes.
- Management of projects and activities in the local pipeline of innovation & renovation.
- Quality of co-packed products on a risk based schedule.
- Monitoring of consumer complaints and planning of corrective actions for the products assigned in the portfolio.
- Responsibility for risk, quality and legality for products assigned in the portfolio ensuring product & ingredient specifications are created and written to be fully compliant & audit ready.
- Product development, creation of recipes and implementation of process changes to current products in collaboration with Marketing and Packaging Experts.
Who are you?
Just like everyone at Nomad Foods we believe that you are a team player that contributes to innovative ideas, has a growth mindset, provides feedback and challenges when needed. To be able to succeed in this role it’s beneficial to have a track record of successful product development within food or a role in food quality management. We also see that you are/have:
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Nutrition or related field.
- Initial experience (1+ years) within the Food & Drink industry in a Technical /Quality/ Product Development role.
- Proficient in a Nordic language and in English.
- Preferably experience in SAP and/or Interspec.
- Preferably experience in project management.
- Detail oriented, proactive and with great communication skills.

About the position & application
